Tips are made of oxygen-free high-conductivity copper and iron plated to resist erosion by solder to assure long life. The tip point is finished to assure a precision working surface. Plato tips are nickel plated for corrosion protection, chrome plated to immunize the unwetted surfaces, and tinned for proper wetting and efficient heat transfer. Thousands of sizes and configurations are in stock. Samples are available for testing.
